Bleak! Comedy has three awesome shows coming up in a one week period that we’d love for you to attend. For only $15, you can take a much needed summer vaction to comedy-wonderland! In case you need convincing otherwise, here is the low down as Boz Scaggs would say.
- Backyard Brawl Round 3 (click here to reserve tickets)
When: Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11:00 p.m.
Where: The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, 307 W. 26th Street.
Why you should go: For only $5 you will get to see us go head to head with Toast Ampersand Whiskey in a battle to end all battles. Vote for your favorite group and afterward we’ll go out afterwards and get drunk with you. Plus, it’s hosted by Derrick Comedy and it’s going to be one of their last shows in NYC before they move to LA. You do not want to miss this.
- Bleak! Comedy’s Super Summer Show at the Gene Frankel Theatre!
When: Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 8 p.m.
Where: The Gene Frankel Theater, 24 Bond St.
Why you should go: This is the first full length Bleak! show in Manhattan this year. Not only will we have an hour of brand-new never before seen sketches, but we have an awesome opening performance by out sister group, Pink Axe: SVA’s all girl sketch comedy group (and god dammit they’re hotties!). Tickets are $10 because it is a really nice theater and once again, afterwards we’re getting drunk.
- Bleak! Comedy’s “HUGE ME” Monthly Variety Show at The Creek.
When: Thursday, June 8th at 9:00 p.m.
Where: The Creek, 10-93 Jackson Ave. Long Island City, Queens.
(it’s amazingly easy to get to click here for directions)
Why you should go: This our FREE monthly show where anything can and will happen. Free show at a bar with a built in theater and amazing burritos? Why would you not go! Come see Bleakians Mike Antonucci and Drew Kaufman perfom stand up as well as several other guests. We’ll be getting drunk with you before, during and after this show. Did we mention it’s free?
